Helen I. Schure, 92, of Joliet, passes peacefully on February, 4, 2010 at Joliet Area Community Hospice Center. Helen was born in Darlington, WI on July 20, 1917 to Edward E. and Mary (Hewitt) Meighan. Helen married Kenneth E, Schure in Winslow, IL. Helen is survived by two children Duane Schure of Denver, CO and Barbara Roberts of Joliet, IL; her grandchildren Lynn Ann and Scoot Schure ,Diane Staus, Michael (Sue) Roberts, Kimberly Fischer, Melody (Tom) Norwood, Kenneth (Pam) Roberts, Douglas (Darlene) Roberts, Vance and Brian Knoll; 17 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Helen was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Kenneth; her daughter Linda Knoll; grandson Gregory Schure; four brothers Leslie, Alfred, Clarence, and James; and two sisters Julia Posey and Violet Bergmann. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Thursday February 11, 2010 at Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home in Freeport. Visitation will be from 9:30 until the time of service. Burial will take place at Ladies Union Cemetery in Stockton, Il, with a luncheon following that at Lena Methodist Church.
