Alice Marie Hagemann, 83, of German Valley, died Monday at her home. Alice was born February 1, 1927 in Bolton, Illinois. The daughter of John and Flora (Boehland) Heckman. She married Leonard Hagemann in Freeport on August 31, 1946. Alice farmed with her husband in the German Valley area. She was a member of North Grove Evangelical Church, she enjoyed baking, cake decorating, crocheting, crafts and spending time with her grandchildren. Alice was also a member of the 60’s Alive Church Group. Survivors include her husband, two sons; Larry (Lynnie) Hagemann of Machesney Park and John (Karen) Hagemann of Pahrump, Nevada, one daughter Pat (Dave) O’Brien of German Valley, two sisters; Doris Walters of Moline and Shirley Boelk of Cedarville. Also surviving are 7 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her grandson Chris O’Brien. Funeral Services will be Friday 10:00 A.M. at North Grove Evangelical Church in Forreston with Rev. Tim Hotchkiss, officiating. Visitation will be Thursday 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home in Forreston. Burial will be at North Grove Evangelical Cemetery. A memorial has been established in her memory.
