Diane S. Heeren

Diane S. Heeren, 59, of German Valley, died Sunday, October 1, 2017 at the Stephenson Nursing Center after a courageous 13 year battle with breast cancer with her husband by her side. Diane was born August 31, 1958 in Freeport the daughter of Donald and Darlene (Funk) Snyder. She married Arlen J. Heeren September 10, 1976 in Baileyville. Diane was a member of Silver Creek Reformed Church. She had a fondness for all animals, especially cats. Diane was Past President of Friends Forever Humane Society, and did volunteer work for PAWS Humane Society. She enjoyed crocheting and loved working and being in her flower garden. Diane owned and operated Diane's Cleaning Service. Surviving are her husband, Arlen J. Heeren of German Valley; father, Donald Snyder of Freeport; son, Matt (Jennifer) Heeren of Roscoe; two daughters, Nikki (Eric) Schoeny of Pecatonica and Ashley (Michael) Nebel of Lake Mills, WI.; brother, Duane Snyder of Freeport; three sisters, Denise (Brent) Fontana of Cedarville, Donna (Tim) Veer of Freeport and Dawn (Mike) Thruman of Freeport; and three grandchildren, Jacob and Charlotte Heeren and Jack Schoeny. Diane was preceded in death by her mother and nephew, Jason Veer. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday October 6, 2017 at Silver Creek Reformed Church, German Valley. Rev. Grant Mulder will officiate. Visitation will be Thursday October 5, 2017 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at Silver Creek Reformed Church. Burial will be in Silver Creek Cemetery.
