Fern Marcella Boatright

Fern Marcella Boatright, 81, of Freeport, died Wednesday June 7, 2017 at Pearl Pavilion. Fern was born January 27, 1936 in Carlyle, Illinois, the daughter of Elmer and Bessie (Esmond) Boatright. She enjoyed shopping, watching game shows on television, and spending time with all of her nieces and nephews. Surviving are two brothers, LeRoy (Linda) Boatright of Cedarville and Harley (Betty) Boatright; and many nieces and nephews. Fern was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Frank Boatright; sister, Ruth Martin; and two nephews, John Boatright and Donald Wachlin. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday June 10, 2017 at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. until the time of service. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. A memorial has been established in Fern's memory.
