Garry Verlyn Schrader

Garry V Schrader, 70 of Lena, IL passed away January 18, 2016. He was born March 11, 1945 in Freeport Illinois. He was the son of George and Margaret Schrader. Garry married the love of his life, Sharon on October 27, 1973 at Florence Station United Methodist Church. He graduated from Shannon High School in 1963. He was employed at Sauer Danfoss for over 40 years until his retirement in 2009. He was a man who loved his family. He enjoyed being and working outside and was an avid golfer. He was passionate about traveling with his wife and family, and was well on his way to a goal of seeing all 50 states. He is survived by wife Sharon, daughter Krysta (Randy Friedrich), Sons Derrick (Shanon) and Brett (Courtney Mithaugen and son Bryson), siblings Arlene Koeller, Lorraine Bork, identical twin Larry (Roberta), loving known as uncle, Don (Shirley), Elaine Hull, Lonnie (Wendy), and Leslie (Sylvia), and many special nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Carol Jean Kurth. Funeral services will be Friday January 22, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home in Freeport with Rev. Bill Blomberg officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established for FHN Leonard C.
