Glenn Gerald Van Raden

Glenn Gerald Van Raden, 90, of Forreston, died Thursday June 8, 2017 at Manor Court, Freeport. Glenn was born February 2, 1927 in Forreston, the son of Andrew and Emma (Artjes) Van Raden. Glenn married Beverly J. Beede on September 10, 1949 in Dixon. Mrs. Van Raden passed away on June 23, 1993. Glenn served in the US Army during World War II. He worked at Kable Printing in Mr. Morris for 45 years. He was a member of Forreston Reformed Church where he was an active member and also of the Forreston American Legion. He enjoyed bowling and was in a league for over 60 years. Surviving are his son, Jerry (Jenny) Van Raden of Forreston; son-in-law, Gary Ludwig of Forreston; three grandchildren, Wesley (Amanda) Ludwig, Katie (Andy) Stampfli, and Nathan (Audra) Van Raden; and four great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Ludwig, Isaiah Ludwig, Lucy Van Raden, and Gideon Stampfli. Glenn was preceded in death by his wife, daughter, Diana Ludwig; one brother and one sister. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Monday June 12, 2017 at Forreston Reformed Church. Ken Renkes will officiate. Visitation will be 1:00 P.M. - 3:00 P.M. Sunday June 11, 2017 at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home, Forreston. Burial will be in White Oak Cemetery.
