Harold R. Eder

Harold R. Eder, 94, of Freeport, passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2020 at Presence St. Joseph Center. Harold was born November 28, 1925 in Freeport, the son of Ralph and Grace (Hartog) Eder. Harold married Ruth G. Neberman May 3, 1947 in Atchison, Kansas. Ruth passed away May 23, 2011. He worked at Micro Switch for 31 years before retiring. Harold enjoyed spending time in Sauk City, Wisconsin, going to plays at Fireside Theater in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin, going to horse races, bowling, and following the Green Bay Packers. Surviving are his son, Jeff (Shari) Eder of Freeport; daughter, Cheryl (Michael) Conkey of Freeport; brothers, Raymond Eder of Orangeville and Arnold (MaryAnn) Eder of Freeport; sister, Arlene Eder of Freeport; granddaughter, Sidina (Cody) Schee of Orfordville, Wisconsin; and great-granddaughter, Ember Schee. Harold was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and sister-in-law, Irma Eder. Due to the ongoing virus no visitation or funeral services will be held. Cremation rites have been accorded.
