Helen L. Peacock

Helen L. Peacock, 88, of Freeport, died Friday, January 12, 2018 in her home. Helen was born July 1, 1929 in Cuba City, Wisconsin, the daughter of Walter and Greata (Todd) Peacock. She worked at Crum and Forster for 43 years. Helen served in the U.S. Army from 1949-1952 during the Korean War. She had a great love of being in the outdoors and going fishing. Helen was a Chicago Bear, Green Bay Packer, and Chicago Cubs fan. She also enjoyed bowling. Surviving are Tom and Geri Wittbecker and T.J. Wittbecker; half-sister, Marlene; and her dog, Harley Davidson. Helen was preceded in death by parents. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday January 17, 2018 at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. A memorial has been established in her memory.
