Ray B. Parriott, 80, of Orangeville, passed away, Sunday April 21, 2024 at St. Mary’s Hospital, Madison, Wisconsin. Ray was born January 25, 1944, in Freeport,IL the son of Byron and Marguerite (Tempelmayer) Parriott. He married Patricia Sherwood December 18, 1970 at First Methodist Church in Freeport, IL. Patricia passed away February 8, 1980. Ray then married Mary Lou Voegeli on May 22, 1999 at Orangeville Methodist Church. Ray farmed in the Orangeville area for many years and then worked in maintenance at RR Donnelley, Monroe, Wisconsin. Mr. Parriott was a former member of the Orangeville Village Board and Orangeville School Board. He enjoyed camping, Corvettes and watching GRIT TV. Ray loved his cat, Kooky.
Surviving are wife, Mary Parriott of Orangeville; his two sons, Chad (Carrie) Parriott of Orangeville and Matthew Parriott of Freeport; three stepsons, Darrin (Melissa) Voegeli of Pearl City, Jeremy Voegeli of Freeport, and Brandon Voegeli of Freeport.; two stepdaughters, Tammy Voegeli of Freeport and Shelly (Kevin) Book of Pearl City; also surviving are 13 grandchildren and his cat Kooky.
Ray was preceded in death by his first wife, and two sisters, Ruth and Marion.
Memorial services will be 10:30 am Saturday April 27, 2024 at Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home, Freeport. Visitation will be Friday April 26, 2024 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home. There will also be a visitation Saturday from 9:00 am until time of service. After the service there will be a Celebration of Life Saturday from 1:00 pm-4:00 pm at The Ville Golf Course in Orangeville, IL.
