Ruth L. Reinders

Ruth L. Reinders, 91, of Freeport, died Monday September 11, 2017 at Manor Court of Freeport. Ruth was born August 30, 1926 in Chicago, the daughter of Ephraim and Hulda (Strum) Olson. She married Melvin "Pete" Reinders October 7, 1950 in Chicago. Mr. Reinders passed away March 28, 2015. Ruth was a member at Crossroads Community Church. She worked as a book keeper for the Lanark School District. After retirement, she was a Volunteer for FHN Memorial Hospital. Ruth enjoyed going on Casino Trips. Surviving are her son, Thomas Reinders of Freeport; two daughters, Sandra (John) Gagliardi of Freeport and Debra Kortemeier of Minneapolis, MN.; six grandchildren, Brian (Tiffany) Gagliardi, Sarah Gagliardi, Megan Kortemeier, Jackie (Tim) Brovold, Matthew Kortemeier, and Christopher (Heather) Reinders; seven great-grandchildren, Jonathan Gagliardi, Daniel Gagliardi, Benjamin Gagliardi, Laila Reinders, Maicy Reinders, Ethan Brovold and Hannah Brovold; sister, Marilyn (Albert) Colianni of Minocqua, WI.; also surviving are many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother, Harold Olson. Memorial services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday September 22, 2017 at Park Hills Evangelical Free Church.
