Ann G. Mordick

Ann G. Mordick, 77, of Freeport, IL passed away Friday March 26, 2021 in her home surrounded by her family. Born May 22, 1943 in Freeport to Karl and Betty (Gilbert) Smoyer. Survived by daughter, Beth (Tom) Peterson, sons Matthew (Crystal) Mordick and Daniel Mordick, all of Freeport, son Michael (Cheri) Mordick of Troutville, Virginia and grandchildren Zach, Kate, Annie, Jordan, Seth, Jack, Ivy, Eva, Joy, Landen, Gabi, Lucas, Phoenix, Maddux, Finley, Lizzie, and great-grandchildren Abe, Esther, Miles, and Silas. Also survived by sister, Leslie Stoner of Longmont, CO, and nieces Jennifer and Lindsey, and nephew Justin and their families, all of Colorado. "My hope as I depart this life is that I have touched other lives in a positive way, with kindness and love, and made someone a little happier by my presence, for in the end, isn't that what really matters?" Cremation rites were accorded. Honoring the wishes of the deceased, there will be no services. If one wishes they may make a memorial donation to Friends Forever Humane Society or Freeport Public Library. "Gotta love those dogs and books!"
