Becky Jane Holz

Becky Jane Holz, 66, of Freeport, passed away, Friday, July 25, 2025, in her home, surrounded by her loving family. Becky was born March 10, 1959, in Rapid City, South Dakota, the daughter of Allen and Bernice (Kurle) Schock. Becky was a 1977 graduate of Savanna High School. She married Rodney “Rod” Holz on April 25, 1987, in Hanover, Illinois. Becky worked for Eaton Controlling in Savanna, Honeywell in Freeport, and she also worked as a playground supervisor at Blackhawk School. She always looked forward to visiting all her family and relatives. Some of Becky’s favorite times were spent camping with loved ones. She was a proud member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Freeport.

Becky is survived by her loving husband, Rodney "Rod" Holz; son, Travis (Desiree) Holz; grandson, Trey Holz; and three brothers, Wayne Schock of West Salem, Wisconsin, Curtis (Debra) Schock of McAllister, Oklahoma, and Danny (Pam) Schock of Savanna, Illinois.

Becky was preceded in death by father, Allen in 2000; and her mother, Bernice in 2016. She was also preceded in death by her mother and father-in-law, Paul and Shirley Holz; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Thursday July 31, 2025, 4:00 - 7:00 pm at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 am on Friday August 1, 2025, at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Freeport, IL. Rev. Shellie Knight will officiate. There will also be a visitation from 10:00 am until the time of service on Friday at the church. Burial will be at Grandview Cemetery. A memorial has been established for the FHN Leonard C. Ferguson Cancer Center in Becky's memory.
