Bradford Allen Duitsman, 74, of Freeport, IL passed away July 18, 2025 at the William S. Middleton Memorial Veterans Hospital in Madison, WI. He was born December 5, 1950 in Freeport, IL the son of Wendall and Dorothy (Eikamp) Duitsman. Brad served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War from May 1971-May 1973. After serving in the Army, Brad returned to Freeport and worked at Honeywell as a tool and die maker on special equipment. He was a member of Forreston United Methodist Church. His memberships included A.A., The Old Northwest Company, Boy Scouts, and he was very active and volunteered for the US First.
He is survived by his son Andrew (LeAnn) Duitsman of Commerce, GA and their children Hailey, Warren and Olivia, two daughters Jessica (Will) Jacobson of Monroe, WI and their children Cadence, Adyn, and Clara; and Rebecca (Edmond) Restor of Midwest City, OK; two brothers David (Luann) Duitsman and William “Bill” (Nancy) Duitsman; sister Wendy Taylorson; and one great grandchild Nathanial.
Preceding Brad in death are his parents Wendell and Dorothy Duitsman.
Memorial services will be 1:00 pm Thursday July 24, 2025 at Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home in Freeport, IL. Rev. Eddie Eddy will officiate. A visitation will be held from 11:30 am until the time of service. Burial of cremated remains will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens following military honors. A memorial has been established in Brad’s memory.
