Brenda Morrison

Brenda Morrison, of Davis, Illinois, formerly of St. Charles, passed away peacefully on March 23, 2026, surrounded by her loving family, following a long and bravely fought illness.

Born on October 10, 1963, in Western Springs, Illinois, Brenda was the daughter of Melvin and Charlotte Workman. She attended Timothy Christian High School, where the foundation of her kind spirit and quiet strength was evident to all who knew her.

Brenda met the love of her life, Peter, while working at the First National Bank of Western Springs. Sparks flew immediately, and the two were married in 1983. Together they shared nearly 43 years of love, laughter, and countless adventures. Brenda was happiest relaxing on a sun‑soaked Caribbean beach, contentedly waiting for Peter to return from one of his many scuba diving excursions.

When not traveling, Brenda devoted herself wholeheartedly to her family. She was a loving and doting mother to her two children, Michael and Jamie, whom she adored beyond measure. Her joy only grew with the arrival of her grandchildren, Quinn and Freya, who brought her immense pride and happiness.

Another great love in Brenda’s life was animals—especially her beloved Golden Retrievers. Over the years, she shared her home and heart with many cherished pets, most notably six Goldens. On March 23, there was surely a joyful reunion on the Rainbow Bridge, where five of her Goldens and many beloved kitties had been patiently waiting for her.

Brenda will always be remembered for her warm and beautiful smile, her generous heart, her steely resolve, and her gentle, compassionate nature. She touched the lives of all who knew her and will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Peter Morrison; her son, Michael (Michelle) Morrison; her daughter, Jamie (Luke) Taggart; her treasured grandchildren, Quinn and Freya Morrison; her sisters, Debora (Neil) Andersen, Diana (Bruce) Terpstra, and Michelle (Stew) Lambert; many loving nieces and nephews; and her cherished Golden Retriever, Sadie.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Charlotte Workman; her brother, Michael; and her sister, Beverly.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Brenda’s memory may be made to the ASPCA or the American Cancer Society.

Services will be private per Brenda’s wishes.
