Cathy Jo Dean

Cathy Jo Dean was surrounded by her loving family when she was called home to be with her lord and savior on Sunday, June 29th, 2025. She was born in Freeport IL on July 5, 1959, to Gerald and Mary Viola (Howe) Parriott.

Cathy practiced a lifelong Christian faith. She was a 1977 graduate of Freeport High School. Cathy worked many years in manufacturing as a shipping and receiving clerk at Danfoss. She was a 21-year member of the Freeport Eagles Club and enjoyed casino trips. Her favorite times were those she spent with her children and grandchildren, they all were truly the light of her life as well as her canine companion, Bella.

Cathy is survived by her children, Michelle Fransen, Megan Fransen, Abby Fransen and Jason (Jill) Fransen; grandchildren, Bryson Fransen, Lyla Ahmed, Boden Fransen, Apple Fransen, Asher Fransen, Lily Fransen, Coltyn Niedorowski and Grayson Fransen; brother, David Murphy; sister friends, Carol Morgan and Joy Horton and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Sandra "Sissy" Wilson and brother Richard “Ricky” Parriott.
