Charlotte Ann Ditsworth, age 90, passed away peacefully on May 14, 2026, surrounded by her family. Born on January 16, 1936, Charlotte was devoted to her family, friends, and the Chicago Cubs.  She was a 1955 graduate of Lena High School. Charlotte married Duwaine Ditsworth on October 27th, 1956, in Lanark, IL.

Charlotte was an Inspector at Micro Switch (Honeywell) for 35 years. Outside of work, she was a member of the Moose Lodge Women’s Auxiliary and participated in league bowling at 4 Seasons Bowling Alley in Freeport, IL.  She found great joy in the simple pleasures of life—whether she was playing bingo or gardening. Above all else, her favorite way to spend her time was in the company of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

She was the last surviving sibling of 14 children, having been preceded in death by her 13 brothers and sisters, as well as her beloved husband, Duwaine Ditsworth Sr.

Her legacy continues through her children and their families:

• Duwaine Allen Ditsworth Jr. (Cindy).

• Debra Lynn Brubaker (Robert Sr.).

• Darrell Lee Ditsworth (Cindy).

• Denise Renée Lizer (Michael)

Charlotte was the proud grandmother of 7 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Family and friends are invited to gather for a time of visitation and remembrance on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at Burke-Tubb Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow immediately after at12:00 PM, with Pastor Brian LeBaron presiding. Charlotte will be laid to rest at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Freeport, Illinois.
