Concetta "Setti" Puskas

Concetta “Setti” J. Puskas, 94, of Freeport, passed away, Tuesday July 28, 2026, at Manor Court. Setti was born Mach 8, 1932 in Freeport, she was the daughter of Tony and Angelina (Panzica) Fertitta. She married Karl G. Puskas on October 3, 1959, in Freeport. Mr. Puskas passed away on May 19, 2007.

Mrs. Puskas was employed at the law offices of Mahoney & Hauser, Ltd. For 18 years before retiring in 1997. She was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church and of the Loving Spirit group at the church. She enjoyed singing praise and worship songs. She also enjoyed reading and baking. She was always devoted to her family.

Surviving are her two sons, Carl and David, both of Freeport; niece, Lynne (Don) Britton of Ypsilanti, MI.; and nephews Russell A. (Rosa) Fertitta of Mineloa, TX., Mark (Anne) Fertitta of Cincinnati, OH., and David (Asako) Fertitta of Colleyville, TX.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, her brother, Russell J. Fertitta; and sister-in-law, Janet E. Fertitta.

Funeral Mass will be 10:30 am Tuesday August 4, 2026, at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Fr. Peter Snieg will officiate. Visitation 9:30 am until the time of service. Burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery. A memorial has been established on Mrs. Puskas memory.
