Crystal Paulette Wirsing Franklin

Crystal Paulette Wirsing Franklin, 43, of Freeport, died December 15, 2015. Crystal was born on December 17, 1971, in Freeport, the daughter of John Wirsing and Diane Cromwell. Crystal was well known for waitressing and bartending for years. Her true passion was working with special needs children. She attended Crossroads Community Church. She enjoyed shopping, reading, scrapbooking, and spending time with her children, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Crystal had a heart of Gold, always helping any and everyone she came across. Surviving are her father, John Wirsing; daughters, Christina Wirsing, Brittany Wirsing, and Skye Franklin; brother, Todd (Josie) Wirsing, and Chad (Nikki) Wirsing; grandchildren, Arianna Wirsing and Brielle Wirsing; lifetime friend, Ann Salazar Shorter of Freeport, and her buddy, Eli. Crystal was preceded in death by her mother, Diane Wirsing; grandparents, Ethel and Fred Cromwell, and Robert and Ailenn Wirsing; aunt and uncle, Tom and Karen Clankie; and cousin, Tracy. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 19, 2015 at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at Burke Tubbs.
