Cynthia J. Arola, 66, of Freeport, passed away peacefully in her home on Sunday September 6, 2020. Cynthia was born May 14, 1954 in Freeport, the daughter of Carl and Mary (Johnson) Arola. Cynthia worked as a nurse for both FHN Memorial Hospital and Freeport Manor. Surviving are her brothers, Richard (Mary) Arola of Winfield, Illinois, and Karl "Mike" Arola of Freeport. Cynthia was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Sally Gundry of Freeport. Visitation will be held 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Thursday September 10, 2020 at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. A memorial has been established for the American Diabetes Foundation in Cynthia's memory.
