Daisy Jean Pearson

Daisy Jean Pearson, 90, of Freeport, IL, passed away Sunday November 23, 2025, in her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born November 30, 1934 in Warren, AR, the daughter of Lindsey and Florence (Wiley) Martin. Daisy married Rev. Malcolm O. Pearson Sr. on February 21, 1953, in Rockford, IL. Malcolm passed away February 23, 1998. Daisy was a key punch operator and later worked at Bankers Mutual Life Insurance Company/Trustmark. She was a member of Mt. Calvary Church in Freeport, IL, where she served as a Church Mother.

She is survived by her two sons, Malcolm (Lana) Pearson Jr. and Pastor Michael (Pat) Pearson Sr.; three daughters Florence (Sam) Spearman, Wanda (Jim) Osborne, and Tracy (Cornelius) Patton; sister, Geneva McLaurin; and brother-in-law Leonard Pearson.

Preceding Daisy in death are her parents, husband, two brothers Gene and Dave Martin, and sister Margaret Henderson.

Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, December 5, 2025, at Mt. Calvary COGIC, 420 Challenge St, Freeport, IL 61032. A visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Freeport, IL. A memorial has been established in her memory.
