Delores Stansbury

Delores Stansbury, Freeport, IL, formerly of Arlington Heights, IL, Bella Vista, AR and Huntley, IL passed away on March 18, 2026.  She was born March 13, 1931, in West Union, IA to Alfred Miller and Irene (Kneeland) Miller.

Delores worked at the Mt. Prospect Library and volunteered at the Bella Vista Library for many years.

Delores and her husband Donn loved to travel, seeing the country with their children in their younger years and traveling much of Europe in retirement.  One special memory was a trip to London and Paris with their adult children and spouses to celebrate their 50th anniversary.

She is survived by daughters Monica (Jim) Gale of Baraboo, WI and Mary Jo (Mike) Paul of Deforest WI; sons Dean (Rita) Stansbury of Freeport, IL and Mark (Jenny) Stansbury of Laramie WY; grandchildren Sarah, Sam, Hannah, Arlo, Chris, Kelly, Jamie, Troy, and Michelle and many great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Delores was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 63 years, Donn, sisters Margaret Osterhaus and infant Betty and brother Joe Miller.

The time we had with her is forever important.  The love and care we received from Delores will always live in our hearts.

Funeral Services will be at Holy Name Catholic Church in West Union, IA and internment wat Grandview Cemetery in Fayette, IA.
