Eric Price, 48, of Freeport, IL passed away Tuesday August 20, 2024 in his home. He was born January 4, 1976 in Ruleville, MS, to Franklin and Mary (Robey) Price. Eric married Tonya Williams on January 3, 2003 in Freeport, IL. He was employed at Modern Platting in Freeport, retiring after 22 years of service. Eric enjoyed fishing, cars, games, and hanging with his friends. Eric loved music of all genres. He was a loyal and diehard Chicago Bears fan. He also coached junior tackle football for his kids and took great pride in winning a championship. Most of all, Eric was a great father, husband, and friend and he loved spending time with all of his family.
He is survived by his wife Tonya of Freeport, IL; mother Mary Price of Ruleville, MS; eight children Eric Price Jr. of Freeport, IL, India (Keith) Williams of Rockford, IL, Justin (Shay) Williams of Freeport, IL, Taylor Brady of Denver, CO, Adrian Williams, Roxanne Price, Pursia Price, and Dylan Williams; 14 siblings, Brenda, Mary (Willie), and Brandon Price all of Freeport, Linda Price, Terry Price, Vanessa Price, Edna Price, Kevin Price, Travis Price, and Franklin Price, all of Ruleville, MS, Dexter (Sherell) Price of Harvey, LA, Kennard (Marsha) Price of Olive Branch, MS, Jennifer Price of Berkleley, IL, Dacian (Jenny) Price of Franklin IN; five grandchildren; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Preceding Eric in death are his father Franklin Price and two brothers Lennard Price and Frankie Price.
Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday August 29, 2024 at Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Charles Threadgill Jr. officiating. A visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service. Burial will be at Freeport City Cemetery. A memorial has been established in Eric’s memory.
