Evelyn M. Morris

Evelyn M. Morris, 87, of Freeport, died Tuesday March 8, 2016 at Pearl Pavilion. Evelyn was born July 23, 1928 in Monroe, Wisconsin, the daughter of Henry and Helen (Schmid) Gempler. Evelyn married Harold M. Rinehart and LaMorn R. Morris. Both of her husbands preceded her in death. Evelyn worked at Burgess Battery for many years. She enjoyed volunteering at the Salvation Army. Surviving are her son, Sheldon "Butch" Rinehart ; two brothers, Emmert (Joan) Gempler of Albany, WI., and Nathan (Vivian) Gempler of Freeport; two grandchildren, Sheldon (Tammy) Rinehart, Jr. of German Valley and Wanda L. Huber of Freeport. Also surviving are six great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, one son, LaMorn Morris Jr.; sister, Lucille; brother, Ivan; and grandson, Dwayne L. Rinehart. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday March 14, 2016 at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service Monday. Burial will be in City Cemetery.
