Gale Wilbur Brechtel, 87, of Freeport, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 14, 2012 at Freeport Rehabilitation and HealthCare Center. He was born on a farm north of Waddams Grove, Illinois, on May 20, 1924. He was the son of Carl and Irene (Biesemeier) Brechtel.
