George N. Crase, 63, of Freeport, passed away Tuesday May 26, 2026 in his home. He was born November 5, 1962 in Freeport, Il, the son of Fred and Thelma (Davis) Crase.

George married Sharon Aebly December 11, 1982 in Freeport, Il.

George was a 1980 graduate of Forreston High School. He enjoyed working on cars and going to the racetrack. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and his dog.

George is survived by his wife, Sharon Crase; son, Bubba (Jenny) Crase; daughter, Brittany (Steve) Euer; siblings, Roger “Boo” (Lorraine) Crase, Pat (Ed) Joly, Sara (Mike) Vandeberg, Charlotte (Allan) Strong, Jerry “Dudly” Crase, Bill (Brenda) Crase, John (Marilyn) Crase; sister-in-law, Linda Crase; mother-in-law, Ginger Aebly; grandchildren, Nathan, Charlie, and Mikaela (Moose); and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Thelma Crase; siblings, Gary, Fred Jr., Buck, and Charlie Crase; and father-in-law, Robert Aebly.

A visitation will be Saturday June 6, 2026 from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM at Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home in Freeport. A private family graveside will be held immediately following the visitation. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in George’s memory.
