Gilbert Leon Kennedy, 78, of Freeport, died Saturday July 5, 2014 at Stephenson Nursing Center. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. James CME Church. Reverend Vandy Harmon will officiate. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at the Church. Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery.
