Jason James Bourne, 56, formerly of Freeport, passed away, Sunday September 6, 2026, Jason was born April 30, 1970, in Freeport, the son of William and Pamela (Hasken) Bourne. He attended Lincoln School in Freeport and Dakota High School. As a boy he liked to go fishing with his dad and big brother, Chad, and sit around the campfire. Jason enjoyed watching baseball and going to games, especially the Chicago White Sox. He was a Bears fan, but would watch any football on T.V. He also enjoyed listening to music.

Jason is survived by his father William Bourne; stepmother, Debra Bourne; brother, Chad (Amy) Bourne; nephews, Joseph Bourne (Jenn), David (Emily) Bourne, Greyson Bourne; nieces, Emilene Bourne; and stepsisters, Cheryl (Ben) and Amelia; stepbrother, Keith; aunt, Sheila and uncle, Mike; and aunt. Barb. Also surviving are cousins and grandma Roesslein.

Jason was preceded in death by his mother, grandparents, Donald and Jane Bourne, Joseph and Eliane Hasken and Elaine Bourne; and uncle, Joe.

Private family services will held at Oakland Cemetery.
