Karen S. (Sager) Glasgow 72, passed away Sunday, July 13, 2025 at home from a short battle with Cancer. Karen married the love of her life Perry Glasgow on Sept. 4 , 1971 in Galena. He preceded her in death on Dec. 4, 2005. Karen was born Sept. 14, 1952 in Freeport to Harold and Ellen (Leiby) Sager. On March 17, 1993 she donated a kidney to our Brother David giving him the gift of life. Taking such great care of our Mom in her last years. Karen was the glue that held our close family together. Karen has one of the biggest hearts that we have ever seen. She loved her family more then anything. Karen would do anything for anyone at any time. GiGi (as her grandchildren called her) loved her Great Granddaughters Jade, Rowyn and Great Grandson Big Boy. Bringing her so much joy and happiness.
Karen is survived by Son Joe Glasgow, Grandchildren Raelyn (Josh Keister) and Cadeyn (Aleigh Molsberry), Great Granddaughters Jade and Rowyn Keister. Great Grandson Big Boy, Sister Cindy (Wally) Shenberger, favorite niece Patty Shenberger (David O'Connell "Rooster") Nephew David Sager Jr, Daughter In Law Dani Glasgow, Caregiver Christianna (Moo) Ellis. Brother and Sister In Laws: Judy Sager, Roger (Janet), Tom, David (Caroline Cole), James Jr., Trish Simmons, Bruce (Nanette), Mike (Lucia), Brian (Jamal), Barb. Special Nephews, Hunter (Kaylah Boelens), Bryce Shenbeger, David Sager Jr. , Owen and Griffin Sager, Blake and Chase (Kana) Simmons, Nieces, Brea Sager, Whitney and Peyton Shenberger, Cousin Greg Reuber, and many other Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and friends. She loved with all of her heart.
Karen was preceded in death by her Husband Perry, Son James, Grandson Jace, Parents Harold and Ellen Sager, Father and Mother In Law James and Rita Glasgow, Brother In Law Jerry Simmons, Nephews Adam and Nathan Glasgow, and Tommy Shenberger. In lieu of plants and flowers a memorial will be established in her name. Please dress causally as Karen requested.
Visitation will be July 23, from 1-3 with the funeral starting immediately after with Steve Sager (Cousin) Officiating at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Luncheon to follow at the Freeport Moose Lodge 440 Challange St Freeport, Illinois.
