Lazetta Lynn Aden

Lazetta (L.A.) Lynn Aden, 68, of Freeport, Illinois passed away peacefully in her home on December 18, 2025. She was born August 12, 1957 to Leon Lapp and Delores (Dee) Agnew. L. A. had one older sister, Darla Rawley. L.A. spent her childhood growing up in Eleroy, Illinois and was a graduate of Lena High School.

L.A. worked at numerous places over the years, including Micro Switch / Honeywell and Lincoln Towers. L.A. loved music, dancing, cooking, animals and traveling, She was always up for an adventure and ready to try something new. L.A. lived life to the fullest and on her own terms.

She was devoted to her family, and friends. She was fiercely loyal to those she loved, and would do anything to help her family and friends. Her sons and grandchildren were the light of her life.

She is survived by her mother Delores ( Dee ) Agnew, sons Jamey Block and Robert Short. Her grandchildren, Aubri, Jordan, Lazetta, Robert, Rico and Leilani, 4 great grandchildren and her favorite Uncle Bob Meeks, his wife Marcene and cousins on both sides of the family. Also her constant companion, her dog Scooter.

She is preceded in death by her father Leon Lapp, her sister Darla Rawley, her grandparents and aunts and uncles.

Lazetta will be cremated and a private family service will take place at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home in Freeport IL.
