Lorna was born on August 25, 1935 in Freeport Illinois, the daughter of Henry J. and Loretta (Carroll) Donahue. Lorna graduated from Aquin Central Catholic High School in 1953. She married John Karl Marsh on February 7, 1959 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Freeport. He passed away on November, 7, 2013, the year of their 53rd wedding anniversary.

Lorna worked in her early years for the phone company before she left the work force to raise a family. She returned to work at Honeywell in Freeport in 1982, where she was a secretary and later an IT assistant. She was a devout member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church and her faith was always an important part of her life. She also enjoyed playing cards, particularly euchre and bridge, and was an active member of bridge clubs until her late 80s. She is loved by many and will be missed by her family, friends, and her community.

Lorna is survived by her three daughters; Maureen Johnson (Dale) of Stockton, Lisa Marsh (Lisa Watson) of South Pasadena, CA, and Joan Marsh (Owen Philbin) of Waynesboro, PA; two sons; Brian (Michelle) Marsh of Freeport and Kenneth Marsh of Hamm, Germany; four grandchildren (Alice, Brittany, Brandon, and Irene) and two great-grand children (Esme and Innis). Also surviving is her brother, Brian (Mary) Donahue, of Bartlett, IL. Lorna was preceded in death by her parents, husband, six brothers, Hank, Richard, Patrick, Paul, Robert and James Donahue, and her sister Jeannette Sullivan.
