Pamela J. (Pam) Gillespie of Freeport, passed away peacefully at Parkview Home on December 26, 2025 after a long and courageous battle with Parkinson’s. Pam was surrounded by her loving sister and friends. Pam was born on September 1, 1947 to Lyle and Betty (Ament) Gillespie.

Pam was a shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Family and friends will remember Pam for her infectious smile, being quick-witted, and overwhelming laughter. She had a gift for making others laugh, leaving a lasting impact on all who crossed her path. Pam was a dental lab technician at Hootman Dental Lab in Rockford, IL.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sister, Janet “Jan” (Gillespie) Stockman of Fountain Hills, AZ, nephew Christopher Schneider of Wasilla, AK, Patty (Moore) Robertson of Freeport, as well as best friends Mary Burns and Ed Woodin, of Freeport.

Per Pam's wishes there will be no services.  Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.

Pam’s sister Jan would like to say a special thank you to FHN Hospice, Dr. Miller, Mary Burns, Ed Woodin and Patty Robertson, for their love and support.
