Patricia "Patti" M. Batie

Patricia "Patti" M. Batie, 72, of Orangeville, IL passed away November 17, 2020 at FHN Memorial Hospital. She was born November 1, 1948 in Chicago, IL to James C. Sr. and Eula Mae Marrable. Patti married Richard A. Zellweger on February 14, 2006 at St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Freeport. She was employed at Highland Community College as a secretary. Patti really loved people. She took great pride in raising Rick and other family members that included her children, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Any time there was a need for help Patti was there. Patti also enjoyed cooking. She is survived by her husband Rick of Orangeville, IL; daughter Beverly Batie of Austin, TX; seven sisters; and grandchildren Mikey Zellweger, Ian Zellweger, Jack Zellweger, Dane Zellweger, Jesse Richart and Amanda Richart. She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers James C. Marrable Jr. and Joel Spencer Marrable; and son Lonzo Batie Jr. Private family services will be held Tuesday November 24, 2020 at Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. A memorial has been established in Patti's memory.
