Robert E. Fagot

Robert “Bob” E. Fagot, 81, of Freeport, IL passed away Sunday May 11, 2025 at SSM Monroe Hospital in Monroe, WI. He was born December 1, 1943 in Freeport, IL, the son of Elmer and Ruth (Ross) Fagot. Bob married Sandra Martin on November 17, 1962 in Nora, IL. He was employed in maintenance at Danaher in Rockford, IL for many years. Bowling was a hobby of Bob’s and he bowled in a league for many years, his team even won the city tournament one year. He was known to be very handy and knowledgeable and could put anything back together. Family was most important to Bob. In his younger years he coached his kids little league teams. In later years he found great joy in attending his grandkids activities and sporting events.

He is survived by his wife Sandra of Freeport, IL; two sons Rick (Susan) Fago of Freeport, IL and Mark (Traci) Fagot of Peosta, IA; daughter Lynnette Fagot of Fitchburg, WI; brother Ross (Susan) Fagot of Luddington, MI; three grandchildren Tyler (Whitnee) Fago of Cuba City, WI, Ashley (Matthew) Schuster of Peosta, IA, and Courtney Fagot of Peosta, IA; and two great-grandchildren Kimber Schuster and Oaklynn Schuster.

Bob is preceded in death by his parents.

A celebration of life will be from 1-4 P.M. on Saturday July 26th held in the Community Building at Krape Park. Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial has been established in Bob’s memory.
