Obituary

Sally Ann (White) Pudwill, born September 17, 1957, in Dixon, Illinois, passed away on August 1, 2026 at home with her family.

Sally was the daughter of Ron and Patty White. She graduated from Polo Community High School and Sterling Educators of Beauty. She spent many years working as a hairstylist and also owned a business in the trucking industry. For more than 20 years, Sally served as the office manager for Anne’s Landscape, a role in which she took great pride and found lasting fulfillment.

On November 17, 2007, Sally married Ron Pudwill. Together they built a life centered around family, friends, and attending countless events supporting their grandchildren, creating many cherished memories along the way.

In her younger years, Sally was an avid bowler and was well known for her skill and competitive spirit. She later became a devoted sports fan and, above all, a proud and dedicated grandmother who rarely missed a thing. Sally could always be found wearing the teams’ shirt, cheering on with pride and enthusiasm.

Sally was a devoted friend of Bill W. for 23 years and cherished the friendships made during that time.

Sally’s greatest joy in life was her family, especially her grandchildren. Her unwavering support, constant encouragement, and enthusiastic presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her husband, Ron Pudwill; daughters, Becky (Aaron) Coon and Julie (Travis) Howarth; sons, Josh (Stacy) Pudwill, Jeremy (Anne) Pudwill, and Jon (Bridgette) Pudwill; grandchildren, Reese and Ryan Coon, Peyton Carpenter, Alayna Howarth, Jayse, Jaymeson, Harper, Sawyer, Jhett, and Jaxton Pudwill; brothers, John (Pam) White and Jim (Shawn) White, as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, David White; father-in-law Russel Pudwill and brother- in-law David Pudwill.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday August 9, 2026 at Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home in Freeport, IL.  A visitation will be from noon until the time of service.  In Lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in Sally's memory.
