Stephen Kenneth Carter died on Wednesday July 3, 2024 at his home in Freeport, IL; He was born on December 30, 1960 in Freeport, to Raymond and Judith (Norder) Carter.
Steve enjoyed cooking and used his skills at restaurants including the Butterfly, Jungle Jim's and Houlihan's. He loved animals and art.
Survivors include his father, Raymond Carter, sister, Sharon (Jeff) Fogel, and nephew, Thomas Rucker of Rockford.
He was preceded in death by his Mother.
Memorial Services for Stephen will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday July 16, 2024 at First Free Methodist Church with Pastor Don Jamerson officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:30 am until the time of the service.
