Steven G. Beck Sr.

Steven G. Beck Sr., 60, of Freeport, passed away, Friday, May 15, 2026, surrounded by his loving wife and family, in his home. Steve was born March 15, 1966, in Rockford, Illinois, the son of Nancy Lewis. Steve held many positions throughout years including Star Manufacturing where he met his wife, Tawney. Steve loved going for rides on his Harley. He was a member of A.B.A.T.E. His most enjoyable times were spent with his children and grandchildren, camping in Belleview, Iowa. Steve was known as a people person, he could carry a conversation with anyone.

Surviving is his wife, Tawney; children, Josh (Kelsey) Kostenbader, Jessica (Clay) Britton, Jodi Villavong, Steven (Jessica) Beck Jr., and Tanner Beck (fiancée India); twin sister, Stacey (Kirk) Knoup; sister, Cheri Lewis; and brothers Scott Lewis; grandchildren, Ellaina, Payton, Kayslee, and Waylon Kostenbader; Brooks and Beau Britton; Nathan and Anthony Villavong; Raelyn Beck; and Iyomi, Percais, Ireland and Scotland Beck; also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, and his beloved dog, Elvis.

Steve was preceded in death by his mother and brother, Shane Lewis.

Memorial services will be 11:00 am Saturday May 30, 2026, at Zion Community Church (10100 W Sabin Church Rd, Pearl City, IL 61062) . Pastor Wayne Fischer will officiate. Visitation from 9:00 am until the time of service. A memorial has been established in his memory.
