Thomas "Tom" Burdick Jr.

Thomas "Tom" Burdick Jr., 61, of Lena, died in his home on Thursday July 2, 2020. Tom was born November 3, 1958 in Freeport, the son of William and Evelyn (Swingley) Burdick. Tom worked at Groeling Salvage for many years. He was a movie fanatic, he enjoyed fishing and working on cars in his free time. Everyone knew Tom as a hard worker. Surviving is his two sons, Thomas Burdick (Rachel Boelk) of Freeport and David Burdick of Minnesota; daughter, Laura Gempler of Monroe, Wisconsin; brother, Tim Burdick; sisters, Marge Fissell and Nancy Burdick. Also surviving is his granddaughter, Alexandria Burdick. Tom was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Dixie McLain. Services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday July 13, 2020 at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home. A memorial has been established in his memory. Burial will be in oakland Cemetery.
