William "Bill" J. Abbott

William 'Bill' J. Abbott, 59, of Freeport, died Thursday May 5, 2011 in his home. He was born on February 21, 1952 in Freeport, Il, the son of Robert and Cecilia (Mahoney) Abbott. Bill graduated from Aquin High school and attended Highland Community College. He was an Army Veteran; and was a member of the Eagles and Moose clubs. Survivors include his nephew Mark (Ellen) Hazzard of Winnebago, Il ; his special friend Doris Brill of Freeport, Il; his good buddy Matt Brinkmeier of Freeport, Il; and great nieces and nephews; and an aunt. Preceding him in death were his parents, sister, and a brother. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday May 11, 2011 at Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home in Freeport with Pastor William Blomberg. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service. Cremation rites have been accorded. Burial of cremains will take place at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. A memorial has been established for Friends Forever.
